For a treatment that's so technologically advanced, getting Liposonix® is pretty simple. All treatments begin with a physician consultation to see if Liposonix is right for you – click here to see some key candidate qualifiers >. From there, Liposonix is a single, non-invasive treatment that takes about one hour.
Your Liposonix Treatment
DURING
Your doctor moves the head of the Liposonix system around the area to be treated, and treats for 30-60 minutes.
During treatment, you may feel discomfort, cold, prickling, tingling, or warmth, which are generally described as mild.
AFTER
- Over the next 8 to 12 weeks, your body naturally processes and removes the destroyed fat tissue.
- With less fat, your body is naturally slimmer, with a sleeker, more contoured waistline.
- After treatment, there may be some discomfort (pain), bruising, redness, and swelling, which are generally described as mild.
Proven Results Without Surgery
With over 10 years of research and testing behind it, Liposonix has a well-defined safety profile. In clinical studies, Liposonix was shown to destroy only the targeted area of fat and did not damage any of the surrounding tissue. Because the results typically occur over a period of 8 to 12 weeks, the body is not overloaded with fat in the blood stream and there was no overall effect seen in liver function tests during clinical trials.
Some patients have reported discomfort (pain) during and following treatment, which is typically rated as mild. Liposonix is not for everyone – it is not intended to treat obesity or areas with too little fat. Tell your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder, are using a medication to thin your blood or prevent clotting, have had surgery in the area to be treated, or have an implanted electrical device, such as a pacemaker. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, the Liposonix treatment must be postponed. Ask your doctor if Liposonix is right for you.
